A Director at Wynyard Wood, Arthur specialises in property law, with extensive experience in commercial leasing, property development, construction and public works.
Arthur has extensive experience in:
- Buying and selling property
- Freehold and stratum property development including subdivision
- Commercial leasing covering the retail, office and industrial sectors including design & build projects and lease backs
- Construction and infrastructure projects including preparing tender and construction documentation, consultancy agreements and providing contract administration advice, and
- Public works acquisitions and offer backs.
In his 25-plus years of practice, Arthur has been a trusted legal advisor of local authorities, government agencies, infrastructure and utility providers, institutional property investors and developers, listed and private companies, trusts, individuals and funders.
Before joining Wynyard Wood, Arthur was a partner at Meredith Connell and before that, a senior associate at Chapman Tripp.
From 2001 to 2006, Arthur practised in Singapore, working first in the Projects and Infrastructure Group at Rajah & Tann and later joined the International Arbitration Team of the Singapore office of American law firm, Jones Day.
Arthur values building people connections and giving back to his local community. He is a parent representative on the board of trustees for Alfriston School and a trustee of Tandem Ministries. Arthur also serves in the children’s ministry at Life Church (South Auckland campus) and a regular attendee of Life Church’s business ministry group.
Arthur grew up in Howick, Auckland and now lives in Totara Park with his young family. In his spare time, he practices Karate and Kobudo with his eldest son, enjoys social table tennis, the occasional mountain bike ride and sim racing (hot lapping around his 3 favourite tracks – Mt Panorama, Nürburgring and Monza). He is also an avid Lego builder and collector. In winter, he coaches his eldest son’s Fencibles soccer team.
